Welcome to KAMPAotD where we share applications recently discovered for God's gift to mankind - the cell phone.
I'd like to start off with a game which has recently thoroughly addicted me: Slay Sean O'Connor's Windows Games - Slay In slay you control villages in a hexagonal format board. It's a turn based game based on simple rules. But the gameplay isn't entirely straight forward, meaning there's a bit of a learning curve for such a simple game. You control little villages and attempt to expand their territory. As your territory grows so do your resources. A village can merge with another friendly village if they can touch each other. Finances are very important in this game as you have to have enough $$$ to support your soldiers. If you ever don't have the $$$ all your soldiers in the impoverished region die - which leads to some clever gameplay where you attempt to split your opponents villages into smaller pieces in order to hurt their finances and starve all their armies. The game is easy to pick up and rewarding as hell. Download Slay today. |

Slimeball Speedway
I don't own a smart phone, or any phone for that matter, but my best friend recently introduced me to this game on his phone, and I didn't give it back to him until the battery was dying. It's pretty simple to understand, you start at the top of a hill as a little slimeball, and as you go down the hill you run over objects (babies, people, mail boxes, etc.) that make your slimeball bigger. You control the direction of the slimeball by tilting your phone, so if you don't have a smart phone or ipod touch you're fucked. It's a fun game. The demo is plenty fun, I can't imagine what the full version is like. Edit: Protip: hold the phone vertically, it's much better that way. |
