Au pair - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - this is something a few girls I know are doing. Apparently it's a pretty cool way to travel for girls if they like spending time around kids, basically they're a young, in-house nanny who works for a typically rich/cool family who just doesn't have time/doesn't want to deal with all the bullshit of raising kids 100% themselves, and much steady than having to look for a sitter/nanny all the time.
