Well ID, as a fellow motorcycle owner let me give you some helpful advise that I wish I was given. Don't buy Capcom's Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. That game is ass. Everyone says it's a good game but they're all fucking stupid or something, it's just terrible.

Also, this thread makes me miss my old S13. I would trade my current S14 for my old boosted S13 anyday.

I was sitting at a light yesterday in between two cars, one in front, one in back. I hear screeeeech! BAM! and before I know it I'm being pushed into the car in front of me. A negro boy wasn't paying attention and slammed his Cadillac into the car behind me. Causing me to be sandwiched between the two cars sitting at the light with me.

Luckily, I was able to hold the bike upright and my front and rear tires absorbed most of the force. Only my tail light was damaged and can be replaced for about $120.

The cadillac looked completely totaled. If that car hadn't been behind me I might be posting from cat heaven right now.

A 1700cc V-Twin is going to have vastly different power delivery than a 600cc race-rep motorcycle. While his motorcycle is incredibly badass and most likely very torquey, a 2009 CBR600 is going to have around 118 horsepower and be capable of running circles around his bike.

the cops up here are cool (or incompetent). I just went around the block. On the on ramp to the expressway I opened up to 100+ mph and passed a semi after I merged. I have no fairings so at that speed it feels like you're going to get blown off the bike or start flying from the lift under your jacket, so I slowed back down to about 75. the speed limit is 55. I looked in my mirror and there are headlights catching up to me. I immediately think "oh shit" its probably a cop hes going fast. Sure enough it a cop, I had passed him as I was merging from the ramp. He slowly passed me and watched me as I took the next ramp off the express way.

I don't have any plates either, there have been a few times one has pulled up beside me in traffic. no tickets. yay

Yeah, I didn't have plates for a while in AZ either, I think cops are generally just a lot cooler when it comes to motorcyclists, I don't know why.

In the year I had the motorcycle I only got pulled over once (eventually for not having plates), despite speeding many times, breaking many dumb traffic laws (right on red, etc), and driving under the influence a few times (dumb).

As soon as I bought a car again (winter-this past feb.) I got pulled over about 3 times for speeding, taillights, and suspicion of DUI because I had my blinkers on because of said taillight problem.

I must say, one of the things i'm looking forward to most about returning home is riding a motorcycle again.

Honda Rebel 250. Nothing worth noting. I had never ridden before and wasn't making shit for money, so I need something cheap to get me by in AZ for a while. Learned how to ride the night I bought it.
