Wow, what can I say: Quentin Tarantino is amazing. Kill Bill is definitely one of my favorite movies ever. Uma Thurman does such a great job in the lead, and acting is superb with all the characters (or at least I think so). You experience the whole range of emotions, from disgust to anger to just laughing because a scene is so awkward that that is the only defense you have against it.
Basically you should go see this movie if: A. You liked other Quentin Tarantino movies. I know, this is a big change for Tarantino compared to his other movies, but don't worry die-hards, it's still unmistakable Tarantino: Gritty, Raw, No-Punches Held Genius. B. You like violence. There is tons of it. C. You like watching women fighting. D. You can see and hear at the same time. If you have time this weekend, go see Kill Bill. If you don't have time, make time. Also, I'm sorry if it's not in Warsaw yet. I know I was pissed last weekend when they didn't have it. On a side note, unless I missed something, Tarantino did not actually write a part for himself into this movie. I know he did for Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, but I'm not sure about Jackie Brown. Tonguegina or someone, please clarify. |
