I've been burning through Deep Space Nine ... almost to the end of the third season.
I've always liked it better because it features an ongoing villain and regional politics / alliances instead of just the free roaming adventures of TNG. I will probably burn through some TNG after this though and reform my opinion. |

I really liked TNG growing up. I actually remembered that episode fondly. Watching that clip, though, I wonder if the show actually always sucked and maybe I was just dumb.

That clip isn't a good example of what TNG was as a whole. TNG was about mystery.

This is really the first time I've tried seriously watching Star Trek, and it's not bad. I started with the first season of TNG, and was going strong for a long while. I'm now kind of getting tired of it at episode 15 or so and just want it to be over. I'm considering just moving on to season 2. I would like to see Tasha Yar die though, because she sucks.
DH I have no idea how you can seriously ask, "What facial expressions?" with regard to Riker. They're almost always wildly inappropriate for whatever situation he's in. He smirks all stupidly no matter how terrible the news he's given. I want to cunt punt Wesley Crusher. His mother could be replaced by just about anyone and I wouldn't notice. I'm sensing that Troi's tits are probably awesome. Data is awesome which has to be true because he told me, and facts are kind of his thing. Warf beating down that Klingon chick in "Hide and Q" and then calling it sex, was inspiring. Q is fucking ridiculous and probably my favorite character. I can't look at Giordi and not sing the Reading Rainbow theme song. Picard handles his business. That's pretty much his whole character so far. |

If you're only 15 episodes in and already can't stand Wesley "King Writers Pet" Crusher then you've got a long 68 episodes to go before they save the franchise and get him the fuck off the show.

I've been burning through Deep Space 9, just started season 7. I'm pretty happy with all of the characters and episodes as long as the Grand Nagus Zek isn't involved, Jesus Christ that guy is obnoxious.

You ever notice how Star Trek has a very distinctive hand-to-hand fighting style? It's the only show where you'll see someone interlace their fingers together and swing both hands at an opponent. Is this starfleet-krav-maga or something?
